John “Jack” Tansey

John “Jack” Tansey passed away on Good Friday, April 2, 2021.

Jack was born on May 4, 1944. He was the loving father of Breann, John, JT, Joemike, David, Shannon, and his step-daughter, Desirae. He was pre-deceased by his son, Mark.

Jack was also a devoted grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by his sister, Carol Hertlein.

Jack loved his religion and the Blessed Mother. He was a proud veteran. He loved riding his Harley and he also loved to travel. Jack was in AA and was also proud of his 46 years of sobriety. Throughout his life he helped a lot of people and will be remembered as a wonderful person.

There will be visitation on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:15 a.m. followed by his funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. at The National Shrine of St. John Neumann at St. Peter the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 1019 N. 5 ^th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123. Interment will be Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with military honors at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
