John A. “Chop” McCloskey

John A. McCloskey "Chop" passed away Saturday at Aria Torresdale Hospital at the age of 72. Chop was a long time volunteer at Parkwood Youth Organization where he coached baseball, softball, and served on the board. You could always find Chop hanging out with his cooler "Chopper 2$" after the games. Chop was preceded in death by his wonderful loving wife Martha on November 24th, 2015. Chop is survived by his Mother, 2 Sisters, Brother, 5 sons, 9 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Friends and family are invited to celebrate his life on Wednesday, May 24th, 7pm at Parkwood Youth Organization located 3301 Mechanicsville Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154 at Dunksferry and Mechanicsville Roads. In lieu of flowers, Chop's family request any donations be made to Parkwood Youth.
