Jose E. Vargas

Jose E. Vargas of 71 yrs. residing in Philadelphia Pa, passed away on March 21, 2024. 

Joe, was born in Fajardo, Puerto Rico, September 7, 1952, to Andres and Petra Vargas, of San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. 

He worked in the home remodeling business and went on to be an independent contractor within the Sears and Roebuck Co.  Joe married and had two children with his first wife Alfrida Marrero; a son, Enrique Vargas and a daughter, Jossette Vargas. He remarried to Lillian Vargas with a daughter Cynthia Ray Vargas-Hosey and together for 47 years, they enjoyed a life with an abundance of love. 

In his retirement, Joe could be called upon to help his many friends and family with all things home repair and would always share his wealth of knowledge. Joe always found a way to use his sense of humor to lighten the mood. Joe never met a stranger that did not become his instant friend. Even in his last moments Joe always managed to find the best in things. Joe will live on in memory by his can-do attitude and his positive outlook even in the worst of situations. 

In lieu of a viewing his family will gather privately to pay their respects and thank everyone for all their kind words and gifts of gratitude towards the family.
