Joseph B. Waring, Jr.

Joseph B. Waring, survived by his loving wife Donna Waring, children Joseph Waring (sp. Terri) Donna Francisco (sp. Tony) and Timothy Waring (sp. Maggie).

Also survived by grandchildren Nicholas Sabitoni, Thomas Waring, Michael Waring and Jonathan Waring.

Joseph grew up in Northeast Philadelphia and proudly served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam war. He then served in the Philadelphia police force for 20 years. Upon retiring as a police officer, he became a project manager in retail building construction.

Joseph spent his golden years enjoying time with his grandchildren.  He loved sitting on the veranda in Wildwood, sipping his favorite adult beverage.  He loved the Phillies, Eagles and Flyers and got to see each of them win a world championship.

Joseph was preceded in death by his father Joseph, his mother Joanna, and his sister Helen. 

Please join the Waring family on Thursday October 26, 2023 at Delaware Valley Cremation Center 7350 State Road Philadelphia, PA 19136 from 6:00 to 9:00 pm for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Joseph’s life. A service for Joseph will begin at 7:00 pm with time for refreshments and fellowship afterwards, until 9:00 pm. Joseph’s family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support throughout the gathering.

There will be a private burial at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
