Joyce Anne Thomas

Joyce Anne Thomas, 79, of Pipersville, PA, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2023.

Joyce was born on February 20, 1944 to the late John “Jack” and Shirley Stachnick in Providence, Rhode Island. After Joyce graduated from Northern Valley High School in Old Tappan New Jersey in 1961, she started a family and began working at Davey’s Locker, where she remained for about 29 years.

Davey’s was one of Joyce’s favorite places that held many cherished memories. Friends adoringly referred to her by the nickname Diamond Lil, as she always looked fabulous, dressing to the nines with all the best jewelry and accessories. Her outer presence perfectly complimented her beautiful smile and vivacious personality. She lit up every room she entered and truly sparkled from within. She was unequivocally the life of every party and always ready for a good time.

Joyce loved spending her time painting, crafting, shopping, and reading, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, who she adored and was extremely proud of.

She is survived by her loving family, daughter, Kaye (Brad) Montgomery; son Nelson (Kathy) Thomas; and her five grandchildren Jason (Ariel) Montgomery, Kaitlyn (Matthew) Beck, William Montgomery, Nicole Thomas, and Michael Thomas; along with brother, William (Mary) Stachnick, and brother Raymond (Gina) Stachnick. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Stachnick, and sisters Francis (Richard) Harty and Patricia (Donald) Boles.

A celebration of life will be held privately with her immediate family.
