Judith (Judy) Rennick died peacefully on November 26, 2025 at Little Flower Manor in Darby, Pennsylvania. She was 82.
Born in New Britain, Connecticut, Judy was the daughter of Bill and Rhoda Tomeo . She grew up in New Britain and Newington with her parents and her older brother, Dick, graduating from Newington High School. Judy received a degree in English Literature from University of Bridgeport and earned her Master’s Degree in Library Science at Drexel University. While working at the Free Library of Philadelphia, she met Leonard Rennick – the two were married in 1970.
The couple moved to Swarthmore, where they raised two children, Andy and Tim. Judy was deeply involved in the community, volunteering extensively at St. John Chrysostom. She worked as a bookkeeper for several organizations, including Bryn Mawr College.
In 2005, Judy and Len retired to the Wild Meadows community in Dover, Delaware, where Judy continued to nurture friendships and explore new experiences. She took classes on literature, film, and history and especially enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren, Karl and Roland.
Judy’s life was marked by curiosity, kindness, and service. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
