June E. Mills

June E. Mills (nee Prickett) of Bridesburg was born and raised in Ventor, New Jersey.  Her battle with cancer ended on Thursday, February 17, 2022.

She is predeceased by her longtime companion Alfred Margerum; sons Edward Gomez, Larry Townsend, daughter Lora Straub and brother William Sanders.  She is survived by her loving daughter Debra (Frank) Zayas (Philadelphia), Linda (the late George) Lutman (West Virginia), and son David (Anita) Townsend (Florida).  She was the loving grandmother to 18 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren.

Her humor, working at the Police Athletic League until she was 80 and continuing her social life attending senior centers until covid hit, kept her young at at heart.  She was unstoppable.  We will miss her and heaven will be laughing when they hear her mannerisms a/k/a nannerisms to our family.

Please join the Mills family after 3:00 pm Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating June’s life. The memorial tribute service will begin promptly at 4:00 with time for refreshments and fellowship immediately afterwards, from around 4:15 until 6:00 pm, where June’s family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support.
