Kevin “Lumpy” Lynch, age 66, passed suddenly on Saturday, December 24th, 2022 in Horsham, PA.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, Kevin was the fourth of five sons. Growing up, he lived with his parents, brothers, and dear Aunt Lydia in a rowhome that, he always liked to remind his children when telling stories, had only three bedrooms and one bathroom. While not in school, he spent much of his time reading science fiction novels and playing football with the other kids on his street, a group that affectionately dubbed themselves “The Wall Gang” and would hold many reunions throughout the years.
Beginning at Rohm and Haas, where he worked full-time while earning his bachelor’s degree at night, Kevin had a long career as a network engineer. It was here that he met his beloved wife, Diane, he would have two children and several dogs.
Kevin loved listening to The Beatles and 94.1 sports talk radio, planning family vacations, going to the movies, and making his children laugh. Though, above all else, he loved going to and watching Philadelphia Eagles games with Diane
Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Diane Class Lynch, two children, Casey and Kelly Lynch, and dogs, Buddy and Vance.
He is also survived by his brother, Thomas Lynch (Kathleen), sisters-in-law, Sandra Alker Lynch and Rose Kleschick Lynch, nieces and nephews, Michael (Samantha), Patrick, Brian, Thomas (Kathleen), Katie (Jeff), and Megan (Pat), and the remaining members of his beloved Wall Gang.
In death, he has been reunited with his parents, John Lynch Sr. and Annette Coogan, his brothers John Lynch Jr., Richard Lynch, and Daniel Lynch, his nephew, Timothy Lynch, and his father- and mother-in-law, George and Florence Class, as well as many friends.
Words cannot express how much Kevin will be missed.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 11 AM on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Sanctuary United Methodist Church (1346 E Prospect Ave, North Wales, PA 19454), followed by a luncheon at 12:30 PM for family and friends at Horsham VFW Post 9788 (324 Sawmill Ln, Horsham, PA 19044).
