Kristin Dawn Stanjeski, 42, of Philadelphia passed away at Penn Medicine hospital on September 13, 2024. She was born in Red Bank, NJ on October 20, 1981 and raised in Middletown, NJ.
She graduated from Middletown North, HS (NJ) in 2000 and went on to West Virginia University and received a bachelor’s degree. During her H.S. years she excelled on the gymnastic team and the spring & winter track team in which she won numerous awards. She was also on the pole-vaulting team.
Kristin was a big fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Grateful Dead. She loved animals, especially her cat Pepper and her hamster Morty. Kristin had such an infectious laugh and was known for making people laugh.
She will be fondly remembered for always trying to help other people by talking to strangers that needed compassion or by giving away food to someone she came across in need. During the beginning of the pandemic, when masks were hard to find, she made them for anyone that needed one. Her passion was in designing clothing, mostly dresses.
Because of Kristin’s giving heart it was decided that she would give the gift of life, she donated her cornea’s through AltruVision. Her Mom would like to extend her heartfelt thanks to Penn Medicine and Penn Med Hospice for the incredible care and comfort they brought during the last days.
Kristin leaves behind her mother, Corrine McMahon; her fiancé, Steve Mauro; her brother, Douglas Stanjeski; her step-sisters, Nicole Lewinski & Andrea Teleposky, and many aunts, uncles, & cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Matthew Stanjeski, her cousin Shannon Geresy, and all of her grandparents.
She has touched so many lives and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
