Linda M. Greenidge

Linda Marie Greenidge was born August 11, 1955 in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania and passed away on March 12, 2024 in Yeadon, Pennsylvania. She was the oldest child of Mabel Anita Greenidge and sister of Steven Michael Greenidge, Pamela Arlene Bookman, and Lorrie Lorraine Greenidge. She was the proud mother of Janeen Marie Greenidge and Aiku Ajesangomarie Greenidge.

Linda was educated in the Philadelphia public school system. She received her Master’s Degree in Human Services from Lincoln University in 1991. In 1997, she was inducted into the Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society in Social Sciences, Pennsylvania Alpha Lambda Chapter at Lincoln University. Her 54-year career span included many years at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Spectrum Health Services, Inc., and Lincoln Financial Group. She ultimately retired from AmeriHealth Caritas as an Executive Assistant in 2023.

Linda took pleasure in listening to music, dancing, attending concerts, traveling, and socializing with friends and family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed watching television shows and movies. She frequently volunteered at a number of community organizations, including the Sisters of Mercy, Veterans Affairs, and Bell Avenue Elementary School. Linda took great pride in her home and loved decorating and creating a number of beautification projects in and around her home.

Linda was very generous and had a sweet spirit. She had a way of bringing joy to everyone in her presence and was able to provide encouragement and advice for any situation. She had a keen sense of humor and her laugh was infectious and boisterous! No matter where she was in the building, her laugh could be heard and bring happiness to others.

She was preceded in death by her brother Steven, grandmother Blanche, and mother Mabel. She leaves to cherish her memory: daughters, Janeen Greenidge and Aiku Greenidge; son-in- law, Demetrius Reid; sisters, Pamela Bookman and Lorrie Greenidge; brother-in-law, Donald Bookman, Jr.; aunt, Lorraine Thomas; granddaughters, Ida Greenidge and Sasha Greenidge; grandson, Emile Greenidge-Reid; nephews, David Bittle, Morris Khamsaen, and Donald Bookman, III; nieces Dionna Khamsaen and Taylor Bookman; great-nephew, Lucas Khamsaen; and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends.
