Linda was a lifelong resident of Philadelphia, PA. She passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at the age of 71.
Beloved daughter of the late John and Margaret (nee Moser) Chepress. Beloved sister of the late Bob Chepress. She is survived by her brother Wayne, sister-in-law Linda, sister-in-law Grace and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, one great-great nephew and several cousins.
In spite of Linda being blind, mildly autistic, and mentally challenged since birth, everyone who knew her knew her love of music. She could name the singer and label of any record dating back to the l950's. She spent her days listening to her radio and on Saturday night, Lawrence Welk was her show.
She also could recite specific dates of anything that happened in her life or in her family's life.ÂÂ
The things that made her mostÂhappy was visiting with family, having a great meal, and getting her hair cut. As long as her basic needs were met, she was a "happy camper." She did not demand muchÂout of life.
The last few years Linda resided in Immaculate Mary Nursing Home in the northeast since she was dependent on oxygen. This last year was extremely difficult since visitation was stopped. Phone communication was all she had with family and her dear friend Arlene. She missed everyone so much.
Our prayer is that Linda is with her Mom, Dad, brother Bob, and all who loved her and went before her. We have hopes that she will finally have sight and see all that is beautiful in Heaven!
