Linda A. May

Linda Ann May packed her remote control and rode her recliner through the pearly gates on October 24, 2021.

Born in Philadelphia on May 7, 1955 to the parents of Joseph and Ann May. The eldest of 6 children Linda was always a risk taker and took a gamble at life especially at the Bingo hall in her hay day and the PA lottery. A bingo scratch off was life for her even if she never did get the million dollar WIN FOR LIFE:) Her favorite past- time was television! Old sitcoms, Law and Order, and game shows captivated her. One hand fondling her ear and the other on a can of cheese Pringles and there was no penetrating that forcefield.

Linda graduated high school and went on to complete a secretarial program at Bishop Newman Business school. She was a manager throughout her life working with well known companies such as Fashion Bug and Philadelphia's own University of the Arts college. A mother of two loved shopping and loved a good sale. QVC is sponsoring her:) A weekend at the stores was definitely a getaway she always looked forward to. She was an incredible talker. A cup of hot coffee and a Marlboro and it was on. She could talk about everything and she did. Very simple and always pleasant, it was a pleasure to spend time with her.

Linda is survived by her Latin Lover Hector Cedres who is the father of her two children, her beautiful daughter Michelle and eldest son Christopher. Her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Thomas, Jaiden, and great grands Kailany and Kace. Her bratty but lovable younger siblings Joe, MaryJane, Tom, Rosemary, and J.T., endless nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. A very fertile people, but truly a strong, tight knit, incredibly loving family. The May clan will miss one of ours so dearly.

Please join the May family after 3:00 pm, Saturday, October 30th at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Linda’s life. The memorial tribute service will begin promptly at 4:00 with time to gather immediately afterwards, from around 4:15 until 5:45 pm, where Linda’s family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support.
