Lois Jean Murphy (nee Malcolm) was born in Philadelphia on November 14, 1955. Lois took her last breath on Sunday June 23, 2024, surrounded by her family.
She was a kind beautiful soul, with an infectious smile. Lois was a nurse, at the Inglis House, a wheelchair community. It was in her bones to care for others.
Lois brightened up any room and the party didn’t start until she got there. She was an avid reader and loved the sand between her toes. Lois will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, and the joy she brought to everyone lucky enough to know her. Her excellent choice in music, love of laughter and quick wit made her a friend of many.
Beloved Wife of 38 years to James Murphy, wonderful Mom to Angela Hahn (Matt), loving and devoted Grandmom to Jude. Her stepdaughter Michelle Rogers (Danny) stepson James and grandchildren, Jim (Danielle) and Keith. Her sister Ruthy (Bill), brother Timmy (Carol), her many nieces, nephews, and cousins will miss her tremendously.
