Lorraine C. Macko

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Lorraine C. (McDonough) Macko, at the grand age of 87, on March 12, 2025.

Lorraine was born on August 2, 1937, to Joseph and Catherine (Smith) McDonough. Lorraine’s greatest joy in life was being the mother to Cynthia Macko Briola (the late Tom), Catherine Macko Cooper (Michael), Connie Macko Bagasevich (the late Edward), and Cheryl Macko Cardella (Anthony) as well as a grandmother to 11, great grandmother to 10 and great-great grandmother of 2.

Lorraine had many interests and hobbies but she most enjoyed getting to spend time with her family and friends. Lorraine was a devoted Catholic and lived her life by the golden rule. Always believing and seeing the best in others. She loved her animals as much as her family. Her love of animals was extended into the many stray cats that she cared for and welcomed into her home with open arms. 

Family and friends are invited to attend her memorial visitation on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 10:30 A.M. - 11:30 A.M. at St. Christopher's Catholic Church, 13301 Proctor Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19116, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 A.M. Internment Private.
