On May 1, 2021 Louis (Lou) J Verberg passed away suddenly from a cardiac event.
Lou is survived by his wife Kathleen, his children Donna (Ken) Jennifer (Ray) Stacey (Chuck) Maggie (Bob) and Kevin (Kathy), 13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Lou was a graduate of Thomas Edison High School and served with the United States Air Force from 1967 to 1974 when he received an honorable discharge. While in the Air Force, Lou achieved the rank of Sergeant and worked as a crew chief on many war planes.
After his service in the military, Lou returned to Philadelphia and was employed as a night crew chief with Pathmark Stores from 1975 to 1998. Lou then worked at Walmart as an assistant store manager until 2009 when he retired.
Lou enjoyed and participated in the AOH (Ancient Order Of the Hibernians) Division #39 where he was an honor guard.
Lou was a kind, thoughtful, generous and supportive husband, father and friend. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Kathy, his children, grandchildren, and extended family.
Lou’s services will be held in accordance to Covid restrictions from 3:00 to 6:45 pm on Saturday, May 15 th 2021 at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road Philadelphia, PA 19136
