Lynne Ann Brown, 62, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on March 22, 2024.
Lynne was born on March 21, 1962, to Ernest and Joyce Brown. She was born and raised in Philadelphia and graduated from the St. Boniface Business School. She eventually went on to pursue a fulfilling career as a legal secretary and spent many years dedicated to her work.
Known for her loving and selfless nature, Lynne was also a fierce advocate for the ones she loved. Her vibrant personality and contagious laughter could brighten any room. "Downtown Lynne Brown" was known for her humor, wit, and no-nonsense attitude. Above all, Lynne treasured her role as a devoted mother and took immense pride in her son and grandchildren. She opened her home and heart to many over the years, offering comfort, support, and a sympathetic ear. Lynne was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. Fondly referred to as "Aunt Lynnie" by her nieces, nephews, and those she embraced as her own, she reveled in family gatherings, finding pure joy in their company. Lynne's cooking skills were unmatched, as she delighted in preparing delicious meals for her family and friends. Her ideal evening included a cold glass of red wine, great company, lots of laughter, and a Bob Pantano playlist. Her big heart and vivacious spirit will be lovingly remembered forever.
Lynne is survived by her mother, Joyce Brown; son, Kyle (Karli) Segeske; grandsons, Kyle and Kody; brothers: Joseph (Lisa), Paul, Scott (Betty Ann), and Thomas (Kimberly) Brown; along with numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Brown, and step-father, Charles Serfass.
Please join the Brown family on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Lynne's life. A service for her will begin at 7:00 pm with time for refreshments and fellowship afterwards, until 9:00 pm. Her family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support throughout the evening.
