Marcus R. Boone

January 1, 1983 — March 18, 2022

Marcus R. Boone

Our beloved Marcus R. Boone (Abdul Basir) departed this earth on March 18th, 2022. His loss was completely unexpected and the family is shocked and deeply saddened.

Marcus Richard Boone was born on January1st, 1983 to Karen Lea Brookins (Pollard) and Sam Richard Boone, Jr in Bristol, PA. Marcus attended high school in both Langhorne, PA and Willingboro, NJ. He had a passion for cooking so he attended Willingboro Technical High School for culinary arts. Marcus loved sports. He was an extremely great player of baseball, his favorite sport. He also played and very much enjoyed football and basketball as a young boy. When he became a teenager, Marcus moved from Willingboro, NJ to Bucks County, PA to live with and be closer to his biggest fan in life, his mother Karen.

Marcus was very skilled with his hands, and had a passion for art. Those closest to Marcus may know that he was very talented at drawing. He would often draw portraits and various other sentimental pictures for the people he loved. He also held various labor occupations including carpentry and construction.

Marcus most enjoyed spending his days with his family, eating good food, listening to music, and watching ESPN. Marcus most admired and loved watching Kobe Bryant, Ken Griffey Jr, Dan Marino and Michael Jordan play sports. Marcus loved the song Diamond’s and Pearls by Prince, and kept Meek Mill on repeat. Anyone who knew Marcus knew that he was a prankster, incredibly intelligent, free-spirited, loving, and affectionate. He had the gift of gab and never shy’d away from a debate of any and all topics. His mother Karen would always say his true calling was to be a lawyer because that man loved a good argument!

Marcus was a father to his one and only baby girl, his beautiful daughter Sciayre whom he loved so very much. He’s survived by his Mother Karen Brookins (John), Father Sam Boone (Margaret), Stepfather Gary Irvine, Grandmother Beatrice Pollard, 2 Sisters Jasmine Washington (Albert DeHart) and Ashley Boone, Brother Tyler Boone, bonus Sister Whitney Evans, Auntie Bubbles Pollard, Uncle Kevin Pollard (Nickii), Uncle Ricky Boone (Debbie), Uncle Shawn Boone, right hand Man/Cousin Timothy Boone, and a host of many special cousins. Marcus took pride in being a loving uncle to Jailyn, DeHart IV (Manny), and Lira Washington.

Marcus is predeceased by his Maternal Grandfather William J. Pollard and Uncle Edward J. Pollard, his Paternal Grandparents Sam Boone and Mary E. Boone (Tabb).

Marcus’s family and friends will miss him more than words could ever express, but find comfort in knowing he can now rest peacefully. Until we meet again, Marcus we love you!

The family wishes to express heartfelt gratitude for all acts of kindness shown to us during the passing of our beloved Marcus R. Boone (Abdul Basir). Peace and blessings to you all.
