Marie Unger (nee Doms) passed away on October 24, 2025 with her husband Bob at her side.
Marie fought a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, which she was absolutely winning at first, because of course she was Marie. She faced every day with determination and humor and with her signature grit and grace.
Marie was married to Robert Unger, the love of her life for over 44 years. Together they built a home full of warmth and laughter and the kind of love that remains strong through all of life's twists and turns They shared happy times together visiting the shore as well as their special place, Mountain Springs Lake.
Marie also had a love for history. She was a member of the 5th Pennsylvania Regiment, Living History Association. One of her favorite Christmas traditions was participating in the Washington Crossing observance on the artillery crew. She served every position on the gun and sometimes as commander, time she loved spending with her husband and cherished friends
Marie was employed for Crown Holdings as an Executive Administrative Assistant. She retired after 50 years of service. She valued the good memories and friends she made over the years.
Marie was the daughter of the late Harry, Sr. and Veronica Doms. She was the sister of the late Harry, Jr. and Robert Doms.
She is survived by her husband Robert Unger. She is also survived by her brother-in laws James Unger (Gerry) Thomas Unger (Suzanne) and her sister-in law Barbara Doms. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephew's Timothy Unger, Bridget Unger Perdomo, Caitlin Unger Hamilton, Sandra Doms, Rachel Gagliano and Jeffrey Doms. She will also be missed by her great nieces and nephew Felicity and Camille Perdomo and Lucas Doms.
Mass of Christian Burial for Marie will be held on Monday, November 3, 2025 Visitation 9:30 am-10:30 am at Queen of the Universe Catholic Church 2443 Trenton Road Levittown, PA. 19056 followed by Mass at 10:30 am.
Internment will follow to Our Lady of Grace Cemetery
