Mary V. McCarty

Mary V. McCarty, age 94, passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026. Born on May 13, 1931, Mary lived a long and meaningful life centered around her family, faith, and the simple joys that filled her days.

Mary was a devoted mother to her seven children and a loving sister to her three sisters. She was also blessed with many grandchildren who brought endless pride and happiness to her life. Her family was her greatest treasure, and she cherished every gathering, celebration, and quiet moment spent together.

Mary had a joyful spirit and a heart big enough for everyone. She loved singing her favorite songs, dancing whenever music played, swimming at the YMCA, and playing bingo and pokeno with family and friends. She was known throughout the neighborhood for her kindness and generosity. Mary often cared for neighborhood children as if they were her own, always making sure they were safe, fed, and loved. Her home was a place of comfort and warmth, and she never turned away anyone in need of a meal, a helping hand, or even a place to stay.

She will be missed incredibly by her son John, who was her devoted caretaker. He made beautiful videos of the fun adventures they shared while going swimming, singing and dancing, and wishing everyone on Facebook happy holidays. He made her life very full, and their bond was a true testament to love and dedication.

Her laughter, warm smile, and caring heart touched everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her strength, compassion, and the love she so freely gave to family, friends, and neighbors alike.

Her legacy lives on in her children, grandchildren, sisters, and in all those whose lives she brightened.

Mary will be deeply missed and forever loved.
