Maryann Papanikolaou

Maryann Kilbride Papanikolaou of Philadelphia (Feltonville), born June 10th, 1962, died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her loving family and friends on June 25th, 2018. Loving daughter of the late
John and Mary (nee Brower) Kilbride.

Maryann was the devoted mother of Eleni (Ed) Carroll,
Melina Papanikolaou, and Nikolaos Papanikolaou. She was the caring sister of Regina (Christopher) Pease, Geraldine (Raymond) Gawronski and John (Janet) Kilbride. Maryann was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Maryann “Princess Warrior” was one of the friendliest people ever and was always our rock. She was a beautiful, outspoken, funny, and kindhearted person. Maryann’s selflessness and positive attitude inspired all who were fortunate enough to spend time with her. She truly adored her children and always considered herself to be blessed, wearing a beautiful smile and maintaining a positive outlook regardless of the circumstances. Maryann is dearly missed and will forever be fondly remembered by all who were graced by her presence.

Please join the Papanikolaou family after 6:00 pm Friday, June 29th at Delaware Valley Cremation Center 7350 State Road Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Maryann’s life. The memorial tribute service will begin at 7:00 pm with time for fellowship immediately afterwards, from around 7:30 until 10:00 pm, where Maryann’s family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Institute for Cancer Research.
