Michael "Mike" Leslie Roonan

Michael Leslie "Mike" Roonan, 63, of Philadelphia, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones on January 4, 2026.

Born on June 29, 1962, to the late Hubert (Dan) and Patricia (nee Murphy) Roonan, Mike was a lifelong Philadelphian through and through. For over 30 years, he was a dedicated face at Frankford Hospital, where his hard work and presence left a lasting impact.

Known simply as a "great guy," Mike had a heart that always rooted for others. He genuinely wanted to see those around him doing well and succeeding. When he wasn't looking out for his friends and family, he was likely cheering on his favorite teams. While he loved the Eagles, his heart belonged to the Phillies.

Mike is survived by his devoted brother and sisters, Tim Roonan, Marikate Roonan and Megan O’Donnell; and a loving circle of nieces and nephews. He is now reunited with his parents and his brothers, Danny, Kenny, and Pat Roonan.

Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Mike’s life at the VFW Post #2, located at 4638 Richmond St. Phila. Pa 19137 on Friday, January 16th at 7pm. In honor of Mike’s love for his teams, guests are encouraged to wear their favorite Philly sports attire.
