Upon Michael’s death, he was 69 years old. He celebrated his gift of life on April 3, (1952) Michael was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and is survived by 5 sisters(Diane, MaryAnne, Susan, Sunshine (Patti) and Geri. He is also survived by his 2 brothers-Dennis and Joseph and his nieces, nephews and greats as well. Joe’s wife Gloria, has since passed away and our deceased brother Tommy and his deceased daughter Michelle, were very important in Michael’s life as well. On October 8, 2021, Michael suddenly passed away in his apartment where he resided alone in Center City, Philadelphia, PA.
Michael J Nagle, he just loved saying his name and said it with deep pride and conviction will have his Memorial Church Service at Our Lady of Good Counsel, located at 611 Knowles Avenue (2nd Street Pike & Knowles Rd) Southampton, PA 18966 on October 28, 2021 @ 10:00-10:30 Meeting with family; followed by Mass @10:30 a.m.
Michael was the beloved son of Anna (nee-FLYNN) and Thomas Nagle. Michael definitely was a man of God and pulled no punches where God was in his life-ACTIVE. He loved the Bible and communicating everything he learned. He even taught us, his family, what the letters of the word HOLY BIBLE meant and he would want those words reiterated in his obituary; He Only Left You Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. What a religion lesson well taught and earned. Thank you, Michael! Michael was employed by the government using his janitorial skills and moved to the state of Florida, where he was employed by the public school district.
Michael was very kind, warm and caring; especially with family and cherished his friends. He was a reformed alcoholic, loved his many dogs at separate times in his life and would often share the friendship between the two of them. He loved Scripture so much, he purchased a Bible speaking verse, radio, because he had difficulty reading at times and he didn’t want to miss out on anything from God. Where Michael resided, in a large capacitated apartment complex, we, the family, learned from our brother Joe, how Michael’s preaching Jesus to other residents helped change their individual lives. Even the office staff’ lives were changed by the presence of Michael J Nagle and I bet he’s laughing hearing his proud name and Jesus’ name combined. He loved us, his family and never shied away from telling each and everyone of us. Yes, Michael J Nagle, we we’re happy God intervened in your life as well as you wanted to teach and reach as many hearts for God.
As Michael would say, “Jesus loves you, peace out!"
In lieu of flowers, donations in Michael's memory can be made to St. John's Hospice, Philadelphia. https://saintjohnshospice.org/donate/
