Michael A. Pianka

Michael Pianka, 64, of Williamstown, NJ, passed away on October 1, 2024. He was born on September 14, 1960, in Philadelphia to Thomas and Joan.

Michael dedicated his career to aviation, spending 43 years in the industry working his way up from aircraft maintenance technician to director of line maintenance at American Airlines. Michael was known for his no-nonsense attitude, kind heart, and dedication to his family. He was loved by many and touched countless lives throughout his life.

Michael is survived by his wife, Maureen Pianka; his sons, Jeffrey Pianka (Stephanie) and Timothy Pianka; grandson, Theodore Pianka; sister, Carla Pianka (Peter); stepchildren, Michael Smith and Siobhan (Cody) Palmer. He was predeceased by his wife of 33 years, Carol Ann Pianka, who passed in 2017, and his parents Thomas and Joan Pianka.

A memorial visitation for Michael will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at St. John Cantius Church, 4415 Almond Street, Philadelphia, PA 19137. Visitation will be held from 9:00 - 11:00 am followed by his funeral mass at 11:00 am.
