Nancy Jane Ennis

Nancy Jane Ennis passed away suddenly at the age of 73 on July 21, 2022. She was born in Philadelphia, PA to Dean L. and Dorothy M. Ennis (Macdonald).

Along with her love of people, Nancy was a lover of animals and turned that love into a career.  Nancy was a dedicated employee at Liberty Bell Race Track and 76 Carriage Company. In her retirement, Nancy was a resident at New Courtland Henry Avenue and part of the InnovAge program. She served as the Henry Avenue participant council president and regional participant council representative at InnovAge Board meetings. Nancy was a bright light whose legacy of love, kindness, friendship, and selflessness will live on in all of those who knew her.

Nancy is survived by her brother Dean Ennis, Jr. (Jim Robertson), her daughter Jennifer Allmendinger (Scott), her son Chuck Erbring, former daughter in-law Lisa Erbring, and her beloved grandsons Charlie Erbring and Brandon Allmendinger. Nancy is also survived by many cousins and many close friends whom she kept in touch with.

All are welcome to join on Saturday July 30^th 2022 for Nancy’s Memorial Service. It will be held at Emmanuel Resurrection Episcopal Church, 8201 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia PA. 19136. A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 10:30 am followed by a brief funeral service as well as graveside prayers where Nancy's ashes will be interred with her parents and grandparents. There will be time for refreshments afterward in the Parish House. Please note there is a parking lot for the church across the road on Stanwood Street. In consideration of the recent heat wave, please dress comfortably, even though the church is air conditioned.
