Peter Hefley

Peter Hefley, 70 years old, of Levittown, PA passed away with his loving wife and son by his side at Chandler Hall Hospice in Newtown, PA on Monday, February 20, 2023. Pete was born March 31, 1952 in Rockford, IL. He was preceded in death by his father (David), mother (Helen), sister (Carol) and brother (David).

Pete grew up in Levittown, PA and graduated from Pennsbury Senior High School in 1972. He went on to the United States Navy and then to become a proud member of International Laborers’ Local Union 57 (Heavy Highway and Building Trades) which he retired from in 2003.

Pete was a devoted family man: husband to Barbara for 47 years, father to Peter and daughter-in-law Lauren and Pop Pop to Wesley and Lilyan.  Always passionate about the outdoors; he loved deer hunting, fishing, and simply walking in the woods. Pete was a devoted friend; he loved spending with his buddies. In retirement, he was interested in anything with motors and could be found at any time tinkering with tractors, lawnmowers and ATV.

Family and friends are welcome to participate in a Celebration of Life luncheon on Sunday, February 26, 2023 at 1:00 pm.  Please rsvp to hefleybarbara@hotmail.com if interested in attending.

Lots of things come to mind when I think of Pete. Nascar, pickup trucks, overweight beagles, and all things hunting. That said, what stays with me is that he was always there if you needed help. To fix something, move to another house, work on your car, he would be there. He was… well, Pete.

Another thing I remember well was his fondness for roadside treasure hunting. If there something valuable on any road he traveled, rest assured his eagle eye would find it. You will be missed Pete.

Love and prayers,
Bill & Brenda

Pete was always a big help to me. He would help me on jobs that I was doing. And project in my garage . He helped me build my race car engine on a
Saturday and we went racing that night and won some money. He also helped me build my other race car the Beretta. That was allot of fun. We worked on that car all night to go racing the next day with a brand new car. Pete was there with me that day and also my family was with me. Pete will be missed!!!
