Raul Cabrera Colon

Raul Cabrera Colon unexpectedly passed away on October 30,2021 at the age of 74.

Raul was a proud Boricua, born in Ponce, Puerto Rico to his parents Confesor Cabrera and Paula Colon. He was the second youngest of five children.

All who knew him know that he was very proud of his hometown and always looked forward to visiting his birthplace, La Isla Del Encanto, Puerto Rico.

Raul cherished being with family and friends. He truly enjoyed most of his time fishing, listening to music especially his all-time favorite salseros like Héctor Lavoe, “El Cantante De Los Cantantes”, as he would say, fixing his “babies” AKA cars, and catching up with long distances families and childhood friends on Facebook.

Raul was a devoted and loving husband to his soulmate and beloved wife of 40 years Carmen. He was always smiling and had a great sense of humor. He always made sure to get a laugh or two from everyone especially when someone was feeling down.

Raul is pre-deceased by his parents Confesor and Paula, siblings Nelson, Luis(Darin), and Edith.

Raul is survived by his wife Carmen, daughters Astrid, Wanda, Tianna, Tabitha, son Darin, and siblings Delia and Carmen. He is also survived by 8 adored grandchildren, 10 adored great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Please join the Cabrera Colon family after 3:00 pm on Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering in remembrance in honoring and celebrating Raul’s life. The memorial tribute service will begin promptly at 4:00 pm with time for refreshments and fellowship immediately afterwards, from around 4:15 until 6:45 pm, where Raul’s wife and family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances, and support.
