Richard V. Fitz-Gerald Jr., born on January 27, 1952, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, passed away on February 22, 2026, in his hometown of Philadelphia at the age of 74.
He was survived by his wife , Virginia Fitz-Gerald, of almost 50 years. He has two daughters, Kelly Rodebaugh ( Robert Rodebaugh IV) and Elizabeth Searle (David Searle Jr). He has four grandchildren, Kaci Kaylee, Rebecca and David. He was survived by his sister, Lillian Fitz-Gerald (James Fitz-Gerald). He is reunited with his beloved sibling Timothy Fitz-Gerald.
Richard had a lifelong connection to Philadelphia, where he was born and lived until his passing. His favorite pastime was bowling and was a certified bowling coach for many years . He was also an avid enthusiast of all things related to John F. Kennedy and the Philadelphia Eagles. These passions brought him joy and connected him with others who shared his interests. He received the most joy out of spending summers by the pool with his family and enjoyed every holiday event.
