Jesse Michalak of Bridesburg, PA, passed on September 17, 2022. Jesse lived a long and happy life of 91 years.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Dolores (nee Rolek), of 70 years, three loving children: Paul (Ginnie Nicholas), Rick (Gigi), and Donna (Brian Bowen), and two grandchildren: Aaron (Shea) and Adam, along with many nephews and nieces. Jesse is predeceased by his twin sister, Mary Burke, along with his brother Karl, and his parents, Marcel and Klementyna.
Jesse was a former U.S. Marine who loved the Corps. He retired from Allied Chemical as a multi-mechanic. Throughout his life, as a 91-year member of St. John Cantius Church, Richard participated in numerous activities including - The Holy Rosary Society, Aid for Friends, and Choir. A member of American Legion Post 396, Jesse provided adult leadership to Boy Scout Troup 314.
Richard’s favorite quote was, “Be nice, it doesn’t cost anything,” and he lived by this motto. He was a sports enthusiast, who in his youth played semi-professional football. Jesse loved to cook, the Phillies, and traveling with his wife.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday, September 22, 2022 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at St. John Cantius Church, 4400 Block of E. Thompson St., Philadelphia, PA. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at a later date at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.
