Richard Narasaki of Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania passed away on January 16th, 2022 at the age of 70. Born in Abington, PA to Margaret Cox and Ted Narasaki, Richard was lovingly known as Fuji by those closest to him. From a young age, Fuji had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and working with his hands. As an adult, he was an avid gardener, fisherman, hunter and enjoyed sharing his knowledge and his bounty with family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Fuji married his soulmate, Peggy (Huggins), 47 years ago. They settled in Fairless Hills where they raised their beautiful family. As the family grew, Fuji worked hard to make sure their home grew with them, all the while meticulously tending to his yard and gardens. He loved his family and his friends. His door was always open and the coffee pot always ready.
Fuji was a proud American and served in the Marine Corps. He enlisted alongside his dear friend, Glenn Anderson, and served for 31 years. In 2001, Fuji retired as a Gunnery Sergeant. He also enjoyed a productive career as a pipefitter/ welder for Sunoco.
Fuji was a loyal friend. He looked forward to his hunting and fishing adventures with Tom Keller and Greg Lane. It became a cherished and time honored tradition and in spite of his recent health issues, one that he refused to miss. Fuji and Peggy also enjoyed many trips and visits together with their friends, Ken and Mary Murphy.
Fuji believed in the importance of family. He was the proud father of Rick (Roxanne), Gina (Jorge) Arias, Michael (Elizabeth), and Dana Narasaki. His grandchildren - Madison, Marisa, Noah, Nathan, Ava, Gabe, Lucas - were his pride and joy and he worked hard to instill in them the importance of taking pride in what you do, having integrity, and respecting both themselves and others. In addition to his wife, children and grandchildren, he is lovingly survived by his sister, Barbara (Don) Witman; his father, Ted Narasaki and their extended family in California; as well as countless nieces, nephews and cousins. Fuji was predeceased by: his mother, Margaret Cox; brother, Alan Narasaki; and beloved granddaughter, Madison Narasaki.
