Richard Francis Nau, Sr.

Richard Francis Nau, Sr. passed away on October 19, 2024.

Born on August 2, 1936 Rich is predeceased by his beloved wife Mazie “Tootsie” Nau as well as his cherished daughter Debra Nau Gramlich. Rich was a loving father to Richard F. Nau, Jr. “Duke” (Linda Uitz Nau), John R. Nau (Marla Nau) the beloved grandfather to Jenna Parisi, Nick Parisi, Ricky Nau, Danielle Nau, Katie Gramlich, David Gramlich Jr., Erin Gramlich, Julie Gramlich, Marina Nau, Bradley Adair, John Nau, Jessica Nau, Justin Nau as well as an adored great grandfather to Ava, Alayna, and Nicky Parisi, Luke, and Lila Gramlich, and Addison, Alison, Alivia, Ria Nau, and Richard Nau IV.

Richard served in the US Army from Sept 1961 - to Jan 1966. He was being deployed to Germany from his South Carolina base, when he proposed to Tootsie and asked her to marry him. She took a train to meet him and they asked the cab driver to be the best man. After Rich leaving the service, they settled down in Philadelphia to begin their family. Rich worked as a truck driver before working as a machinist at TRW until he retired. Rich enjoyed going to the race track, the casino, listening to Elvis and watching old country westerns. We love you and we will truly miss you. Forever in our hearts 

Please join the Nau family on Saturday October 26, 2024 from 3:00 to 6:00pm at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136, for a gathering of remembrance in honoring Rich’s life. A service for Rich will begin at 4:00 pm. His family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support throughout the evening. 

In lieu of flowers, Donations in Rich's name to Autism Speaks to help with Autism awareness would be greatly appreciated.
