Rita Stockette

Rita Stockette, age 83 formerly of South Philadelphia passed away on September 22, 2018.

Rita was a very strong and independent woman that was always dressed very colorful, seen with a smile and matching hair accessory. She retired from Bell Telephone Co. after 45 years of service in Philadelphia, Pa. In her later years, Rita moved into Deer Meadows Retirement Community where her presence will be greatly missed.

Her personality exuded both happiness and kindness and was the type of person who said hello to everyone. Rita participated in community life at Deer Meadows, which often included bus trips. She loved spending time at the beach and never missed the bus trips to Cape May and Ocean City NJ.

She is survived by and will missed by her brothers Richard Stockette and Robert Stocketta. Rita was predeceased by her brothers Louis and Michael Stockette and her sister Rosemarie Lewandowski. Rita is also survived by her nieces Karen Brennan, Julia Lewandowski, Naomi Frick, Carla Wood and her Nephews Richard Stockette, Jr., Mark Stockette, Joseph Stockette, Vincent Stockette and Paul Lewandowski and many great-nieces and nephews. A private family service will be held on later date.
