Robert Richard Habel, known by family and friends as Bob, a loving son, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away suddenly on Sunday, March 25, 2018. Bob was born August 22, 1934. He was married Lorraine Habel for 58 years until she passed in 2012.
Bob and Lorraine watched the cement foundation of their Levittown home being poured and raised their three children there.
Bob was a retiree of United States Steel Fairless Hills location. He was an avid baseball/softball player until the age of 57. His love of sports didn’t end there, Bob enjoyed every type of sport aired on television. His love for puzzles floods the walls of his porch. He enjoyed staying busy and tinkering. His pristine lawn was a source of pride and he weed wacked everything in sight.
He also enjoyed riding his scooter in the Kenwood section of Levittown.
He is survived by his three children, Robert W. Habel (Betty), Robin J. Clark (Rick) and Scott A. Habel (Julie). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Stacey Drake (Tommy), Ricky Clark (Grace), Robert Habel (Sarah), Tiffani Habel, Ryan Habel (Lani), Jocelyn Coleman (Nick) and Casie Habel. He enjoyed time with his seven great-grandchildren and was excitedly expecting the birth of four more great-grandchildren in the near future.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
