Rocco A. DiLeonardo passed away peacefully at his home on January 15, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was 81 years old.
Born in Philadelphia on July 13, 1944, Rocco was the son of the late Vincenzo and Rosa (Morello) DiLeonardo. He was a devoted father to Vincenzo (Ashlee), Deanna (John), Rosalina (Michael), Heather (Dennis) DeMar, Brad Sharkey (Lauren), and Shawn Lucas (Monica). He was a cherished grandfather to Brandon, Alanna, Sienna, Kinslee, and Michael, and joyfully awaiting the arrival of another granddaughter expected in June.
Rocco was a devoted brother to Ann (Harry) and the late, Rosalina (Lisacchi) and Mary (Gelormini). He is also survived by Mary Sharkey, the mother of his children, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A lifelong resident of Port Richmond, Rocco graduated from Mother of Divine Grace School in 1958 and Northeast Catholic High School in 1962. He lived a long and meaningful life defined by resilience and a deep devotion to his family and God. With a lifelong passion for construction and property management, Rocco was truly a jack of all trades. Always willing to help, he was known for lending his keen eye—never hesitating to point out what needed fixing and how to make it right.
Rocco found joy in visiting the racetrack, traveling, fishing, the beach and strolling through flea markets. He was a devoted fan of Philadelphia sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles, and wrestling matches were always playing on his television. His life was rich with cherished memories, a loving family, and truly great friends.
