Rose Rizzo

Rose Rizzo lived, loved, and touched countless lives during her remarkable 103 years. Known affectionately as Mama Rose, Gigi, Big Rose, Roe, Rosie, Grams, and most importantly, Mom, she created a legacy of warmth and kindness.

Raised in Philadelphia, Rose built her life and family in the Kensington section. Her home on Kip and Ontario Street was a beacon of light, welcoming friends and community with open arms. She took pride in her involvement as a committee person and friendships with politicians, hosting numerous gatherings that filled her home with joy and laughter. Her selflessness knew no bounds; she was the type of person who would gladly offer the shirt off her back, the food from her plate, or her own bed to someone in need. Rose passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loving family. She is now joyfully reunited in Heaven with her beloved daughter Madeline (Joseph McCaffrey), and her grandson-in-law Jeremie Conry. She leaves behind her daughter, Rosalind Petrasso, granddaughter, Rosemarie Conry; grandsons, Edward, Nicholas, Ryan, and Michael; and cherished great-grandchildren, Ireland, Gavin, Nora, Eamonn, Avery, Maggie, Mollie, Danny, Kevin, John, James, and Mariano. Rose also leaves behind many dear friends who were blessed by her presence and stories that will last a lifetime.

Rose will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always cherished in our hearts and memories.

Please join Rose's family on Saturday September 19, 2026 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136, for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating her life. A service for Rose will begin at 4:00 pm, followed by time for refreshments and food, until 6:00 pm. Her family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrance, and support throughout the evening.
