Rosemarie Jeanne Caucci

Rosemarie Jeanne Caucci, age 77, passed away peacefully with her brother Joseph and sister-in-law Mary Ellen by her side in the early morning hours of July 7, 2022.  Rosemarie was born in Philadelphia, PA, daughter of the late Marie Rose (Mulgrew) and Eugene Bernard Caucci.  She was a twin born on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, 1944, followed 5 minutes later by Edward.  She attended Saint Edward’s Catholic School from 1950 to 1958.  She then attended Hallihan Catholic High School for Girls, then Holy Child Academy, based in Sharon Hill, PA.  In her early years she took ballet lessons and performed in solo and group recitals at Town Hall in Philadelphia.  After high school, she attended Antonelli School of Photography where she did some modeling.  She became a caregiver first, for her Uncle Ed,  then for her Mother, who passed away on Feb 2, 1971, a very devastating blow in Rosemarie’s life.  She picked up the pieces and was employed at various offices, but her first priority was her family, which was growing larger with nieces and nephews.  Rosemarie was an amazing cook, with recipes handed down from her Grandmother from Bristol, PA.  When Rosemarie brought meatballs to an event there were never any leftover!   After her father had open-heart surgery in August 1984, she became his caregiver.  He passed away peacefully at home with Rosemarie by his side on July 4, 2010.  Rosemarie was dedicated to her family and regarded all her nieces and nephews as her own children.  She was greatly loved by all of the family. 

Rosemarie was pre-deceased by her brother Eugene B (II) on  Nov 30, 2003 (Geraldine), survived by her brother Joseph (Kathryn), pre-deceased by her twin brother Edward on Jun 14, 2020 (Mary Ellen).

She is survived by 13 nieces and nephews:  Terese Ann (David), Chuck/Eugene B III (Rachel), Anthony, Lisa, Matthew (Amanda), Dr. Gina, Andrea (Donnie); Marianne, Kathy/KC (Mike), Joe (Stacy), Michelle (Dave); Marie (Steve), Carolyn. 

She is survived by 15 grand nieces and nephews:  Charlotte, Morgan, Declan, Anthony, Jude, Lucas; Christopher (Christina). Meghan, Kaya, Brody; Lauryn (Louis), TJ, Tori (Ryan), Austin (Josie), Andy.

She is survived by 4 great-grand nieces and nephews: Santino/Sonny, Penelope/Penny, Maggie, Willow.

Rosemarie is also survived by many loving cousins from the Caucci, Messanella, Viviani, DiCola, Whyno, and Wyatt Families with whom she kept in touch all of her life.

Rosemarie had many close friends also with whom she kept in contact.

Rosemarie will be missed by all who knew her.

Family and friends are invited to Rosemarie’s life celebration on Saturday, July 16 2022, at Christ the King Catholic Church at 3252 Chesterfield Road, Phila, PA 19114 at 9:30 AM followed by her Funeral Mass at 11 AM.
