Russell "Rusty" W. Smith

Russell "Rusty" Winfield Smith of Philadelphia, PA passed away on July 1, 2024 from a long illness. He was born on April 29, 1960 in Bryn Mawr, PA and raised in Moorestown, NJ, where he graduated from high school, earning varsity letters in both football and wrestling. He briefly attended the Florida Institute of Technology and later completed his Microsoft Certification. Rusty followed his love of culinary arts and became a restaurant manager for various well-known establishments.

Rusty was kind, gentle, and good-natured, who faithfully followed his beloved Philadelphia sports teams, particularly the Phillies and Eagles. He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time at the Jersey Shore with his family. He loved animals and was a regular volunteer with the local SPCA, fostering dogs and cats in need of a good home.

Rusty was a devoted father and will be greatly missed by his son, Mason Smith and daughter Julia Smith. He is survived by a sister, Deborah Smith Collison. He was preceded in death by his wife Amanda Smith, his parents Sidney and Barbara Smith, and his brother Sidney Smith Jr.
