Sandra Marie Way was born in Philadelphia to Francis H. Way and Edith Ingram Way on November 3, 1940.
She attended Olney High School and West Chester State College, where she earned a teaching degree in Physical Education. She also received her Masters Degree from Gratz College.
She taught Physical Education and Health at Southern High School in the Philadelphia Public Schools for her entire career. She coached girls’ basketball and her team won the City Championship several times.
Sandy’s love was for travel, friends, dogs and her Philadelphia Eagles.
She will be remembered by her brother Frank, and her niece and nephews as the aunt who brought the carload of gifts at holidays.
Memorial service will be private. Sandy would want donations made in her name to Artman Lutheran Home â€" Benevolent Fund, 250 N. Bethlehem Pike, Ambler, PA 19002.
