Stephen Patrick James Joseph Feeney, affectionately known by many as “Feendawg,” passed away peacefully on September 8, 2025, at the age of 73. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA, Stephen lived a life marked by love, laughter, music, and craftsmanship.
He is survived by his former wife and lifelong best friend, Carol Ann; his beloved children, Matthew, Alicia, Ashley, Stephen, and his son-in-law, Christopher; and his cherished grandchildren, Kayla, Austin, Cooper, Avery, and Alexandria. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gloria.
Stephen was a proud member of the Philadelphia Local 8 Union of Carpenters, where his skill, work ethic, and creativity made a lasting impact. A man of many talents, he was not only a master carpenter but also a gifted singer-songwriter and guitarist, and he possessed a brilliant mechanical mind. Outside of his work, he enjoyed cheering on Philadelphia sports, sharing meals with friends, and filling every room with his music and humor.
Above all, Stephen lived out his Christian faith with boldness and sincerity. He never missed an opportunity to share the hope of Jesus with those around him, encouraging others with his words, music, and testimony. His love for the Lord shaped his life and will remain a lasting part of his legacy.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Calvary Chapel of Philadelphia. The service will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by his interment at Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, PA, at 1:00 p.m. A luncheon for Stephen will be held at The Churchville Inn at 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network to honor Stephen’s memory, PanCAN
Stephen will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his music, laughter, and spirit will live on forever in the hearts of his family and friends.
