Stephen C. Saxton

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Stephen C. Saxton, a beloved member of our family and community, who left us on March 4, 2025, at the age of 57.

Born on June 13, 1967 in Philadelphia, PA, he was a quick-witted and coffee-loving individual who touched the lives of everyone he met. Loving husband of Barbara (nee Derr) and son of Robert L. Saxton Sr. and Marie T. (nee Fritz).

While Stephen was a highly-skilled refrigeration technician, those greeted by his character grew to love his unpredictable humor and witty nature. Stephen was a natural born comedian with an innate talent to create quick-witted one-liners. In light of his unorthodox ways, Stephen exhibited a nurturing personality, loving everyone as if they were a part of his own family. His love knew no boundaries when it came to his wife, children, and especially his grandchildren.

Adored father of Robert W. Saxton and Stephanie Martin (Tommy). He leaves behind four cherished grandchildren, Robert T. Saxton, Stephen Stokes, and Lucas and Landon Martin. Stephen is survived by his siblings, Robert L. Saxton Jr., Patricia Shields (David), Gary Saxton (Mary), David Saxton (Tina), Donna Cross (David), Teresa Thompson (Danny), and Gerard Saxton (Christina). He is also survived by his several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Barbara R. Saxton.

Please join the Saxton family on Monday, March 10, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136, for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Stephen's life. A service for Stephen will begin at 7:00 pm, followed by time for refreshments and food, until 9:00pm. His family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrance, and support throughout the evening.
