Suzanne R. Vile (nee Powers) 78 of Woodsfield, Ohio passed away peacefully at the Stellar Care Center Sunday January 22, 2023.
Suzanne was born June 8, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Wilbur C. and Kathryn R. Powers.
She married William W. Vile, Jr. in 1964 and went on to have six children, Kim., Dana, Kelly, Shannon, Brooke and Billy III. Suzanne was the O.G. crunchy hippie mom. When her free range kids were older she moved to Woodsfield, Ohio to start her pioneer life in 1993 in The Wayne National Forrest on the Turning Point Farm with her partner and lover Skipper Doyle (George).
Suzanne was a motorcycle aficionado, avid gardener, a voracious collector of many things and a volunteer for many years at the Graysville Fire Department.
Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents and her younger brother Richard Powers.
Suzanne is survived by her life partner George Skip Doyle, her children Kimberly Vile and her husband David Sims, Dana Cecil and her husband Dustin Cecil, Kelly Vile, Shannon Pogacnik and her husband Larry Pogacnik, Brooke Vile, Billy Vile III and his wife Holly Vile, Erik Doyle and his wife Amy Doyle, and Corinne Jones and her husband Greg Jones. Grandchildren are Ashley Brough, Tyler Brough, Cody Cecil, Brendon Gioia, Billy Vile IV, Jarod Vile, Toby Cecil, Jackson Schultz, Savannah Cecil, Hunter Doyle, Audrey Vile and one great granddaughter CarterAnn Brough.
Please join the Vile family after 6:00 pm on Thursday March 2, 2023 at Delaware Valley Cremation Center 7350 State Road Philadelphia, PA 19136. for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Suzanne's life. Family sharing will begin at 7:00 pm with time for refreshments and fellowship immediately afterwards, until 9:00 pm where Suzanne’s family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support.
