Thomas Christopher Gunning

Thomas Christopher Gunning age 51, passed away on December 5, 2023.  He was a beloved father and husband.

Tom attended Council Rock North High School in Newtown, PA. He was a man of many talents from food services, to being the family mechanic. Tom had ended his career at PGW as a fleet foreman.

He enjoyed family gatherings, while cooking on the grill. Tom loved his Philadelphia Eagles, cars, tattoos, piercings, and animals.

One thing that Tom strived to do was to make his parents proud. Tom was all heart, especially when it came to his family. “Tom has two left feet with no moves”, as his kids would say.

He is survived by his parents, Susan and Tom Trainer; his wife, Michelle Cedres and his 5 children: Desiree, Jennifer, Kaitlyn, Thomas and Jaden. Tom is also survived by his 9 grandchildren, 5 girls and 4 boys. He also leaves behind his siblings: Robin, Val, Julie, Richard, Tommy, Jimmy, as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins. Tom was predeceased by Walt Gunning.

At the end of Tom’s life, he was surrounded by his family listening to “Breaking the Habit” by Linkin Park.

Please join the Gunning family on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Tom’s life. Family sharing for Tom will begin at 7:00 pm. His family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support throughout the evening.
