Thomas F. Nally

Thomas F. Nally (Tom) passed away peacefully; on his own terms at home and in the loving company of his children, Wednesday morning January 21st 2026 at the age of 77.

Tom, born October 1, 1948 in Philadelphia, to Helen Lester Nally and Matthew Nally, was also a lifetime resident of Philadelphia. He retired in 2014, after many dedicated years at Quest Diagnostics.

Tom married Linda (Gaerttner) Nally in 1968. Together they had 3 children, and after 38 years of marriage, they remained close and shared a very caring friendship.

Preceded in death by his siblings: Don Lester, Larry Welsh, and twin brother, Jim Nally.

Survived by his 2 daughters: Kimberley Berardinucci (Rick), Tina Barron, 1 son: Thomas (Tom) Nally, 6 grandchildren: Ricky, Jake, Autumn, Acacia “Casey”, Tommi and Devin, as well as nieces, nephews and close friends.

Tom always enjoyed socializing, whether it was a gathering of family or friends or both. He was always sure to come with a joke or two, a caring “how you doin’”, and lots of smiles and laughs.

Beginning two years into his retirement, while battling one medical issue after another and slaying them like the cool cat he always was, he enjoyed his well-deserved ‘couch and t.v.’ time. And even then, he still enjoyed having company and a few beers, and of course laughs. He was an avid Flyers and Eagles fan (although he has been mad with disappointment at the Flyers for years now, let’s go Flyers). Go Birds!

Just as his heart ached for his parents and brothers, now do ours for our dad. He would want us to socially gather and celebrate him one last time, and as he would say, the more the merrier. So we invite all to do just that, including big people drinks too, dad’s way!

Please join Tom’s family on Friday, January 30, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136, for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating his life. A service for him will begin at 7:00 pm, followed by time for refreshments and food, until 9:00pm. Tom’s family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrance, and support throughout the evening.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Fox Chase Cancer Center, American Diabetes Association, Redeemer Health Home Care & Hospice, or the charity of your choice.
