Thomas M. Widmeier (Tom), loving son, devoted brother & beloved uncle,
passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at the age of 52. Tom grew up in Melrose Park and was a long-time resident of Rockledge. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Joseph F. Widmeier. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Widmeier (nee Foy), his four brothers: Joe (Linda), Matt, Bill, John (Melissa) and his two sisters: Kathleen Furphy (John) & Joanne Maldonado (Miguel). He is also survived by four nephews and seven nieces, along with six great nephews and two great nieces.


Tom graduated from Cheltenham High School, class of 1989. He worked as a
carpenter with his eldest brother, Joe. Tom was a founding member of the Sons
of the American Legion Post #497. He was also a Division Two shooter in the
Quaker City Dart League. Tom was a member of the James A. Flaherty Council,
No. 3128 of the Knights of Columbus. Tom enjoyed watching the Eagles, Phillies, and Flyers. Tom was a good friend, always willing to lend a helping hand. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and all who knew him.


Family and friends are invited to St. William Church, 6200 Rising Sun Avenue,
Philadelphia, PA 19111 from 8:45-9:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2023
followed by a funeral mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be held privately. 


In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Tom's honor to a charity of your choice.
