Vandna Gupta was called to heaven on July 13, 2021. She entered into rest peacefully, in her home, held and surrounded by her family. She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ghanshyam Gupta, loving daughter, Sipi Gupta (Michael), beloved son, Nachiketa Gupta, sisters, Sudesh Garg and Shukla Kapur (Bharat), brother, Rajesh Garg (Anju), nieces, Dina Sanna (Chris), Anubha Garg (Anurag), and Ishita Garg, and nephews, Ashwani Aggarwal (Pooja) and Amit Kapur.
Vandna was born on October 15, 1947 at Delhi, India, and was the daughter of the late Krishna Gopal and Kailash Vati Garg. Vandna was a computer specialist for the US federal government. Previously, she was a revered professor of computer information systems and mathematics at a number of colleges and universities for several years. She was a dedicated and patient teacher loved by her students.
A private viewing for Vandna took place on July 15, 2021 and a public memorial for her will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Samarpan Hindu Temple. Samarpan Hindu Temple is located at 6515 Bustleton Avenue in Philadelphia, PA.
In lieu of flowers, please appreciate time spent with your loved ones, take lots of pictures, and make special memories with them. Donations for Vandna may be made to Samarpan Hindu Temple, where she joyously worshipped Durga Ma and other Gods and congregated with friends.
