Vincent J. Toner

Vince passed away at home after a long illness. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife Laura and their beautiful daughter Julie. Vince is also survived by his sister Mary Kay and her husband Tom, his sister Rita and her husband R.C., his sister Dorothy and her husband Felix, his sister Trish, his sister-in-law Gloria and by Laura’s family. Vince was predeceased by his mom Dorothy, dad Harry, and brothers John and Michael.

Vince spent his entire career as a Catholic School high school teacher, but as many know North Catholic was his alma mater and favorite school to teach at. He epitomized all of the traits of a true Salesian gentleman. In honor of his love for North Catholic, please feel free to wear North Catholic attire to his life celebration.

Anyone who knew Vince knew of his love for family and friends. You could not have asked for a better man. He was loving, kind, loyal and funny. He was always there to help family and friends. He was a gentle giant. For those of us who loved and knew him, we knew his sense of humor. He knew how to give a joke as well as take it. When you were around Vince you knew you were guaranteed to have a few laughs.

On a more personal note, I could not have asked for a better husband and friend. He was my one and only. He was a wonderful father who taught our daughter Julie to be strong, independent and fun loving. Our hearts will forever have an empty place that cannot be filled.

Please join the Toner family on Sunday, March 16, 2025 from 12:00 - 3:00 pm at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136 for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating Vince's life. A short service for him will begin at 1:00 pm followed by time for refreshments and food, until 3:00pm. His family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrance, and support throughout the evening.
