William J. Hackett

William Joseph Hackett, 68, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on January 27, 2024. He was born on August 16th 1955. William, known for his funny, spontaneous, and vivacious personality, will be deeply missed by his loving family and friends.

During his career, William served as a Philadelphia police officer from 1985 until 2010. He was honored for his heroic efforts and courageous spirit. His dedication to his work and community made a lasting impact.

In his free time, William enjoyed watching sports, reading, listening to music, and traveling. These hobbies allowed him to relax and appreciate the world around him.

William is survived by his devoted wife, Donna, and their children, William, Joshua, and Lindsey. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert, mother, Annamay, and brothers, Robert Jr. and Thomas.

William Joseph Hackett will forever be remembered for his sense of humor, spontaneity, and zest for life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. May he rest in peace.

A memorial Mass for William, will be held on February 3rd 2024 at 1:00pm at Resurrection of our Lord Church, located at 2000 Shelmire Ave, Philadelphia, PA, 19152. A visitation will begin at 12:00pm, prior to mass.
