William H. McGuinn

William H. McGuinn, age 97, of North Wildwood, New Jersey passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, September 9, 2023.  William was born in Manayunk (Phila) PA, December 19,1925 to parents Joseph and Mary Catherine (Geseller) McGuinn. He was a loving husband to the late Rose Marie (nee McGrory) for 61 years. Rose Marie has been waiting for William since July 2012. 

He was a resident of N. Wildwood, NJ since 1981 and also wintered in his home in Seminole, Florida from 1999 until 2012.  Beloved father to Patrick (Geraldine), Kathleen McGuinn, Elizabeth Ann McGuinn, Mary Ann DeLeo (James) and Rose Mary Adams (the late Joseph). William was predeceased by his 4 brothers and 6 sisters. William was also predeceased by one grandson, Joseph T. Adams III.  He is survived by 9 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great-Great Grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews and friends.

William was a veteran having served in the United States Navy, during World War II, on an aircraft carrier as a signal man.  William worked at the Frankford Arsenal as a Munition Calibration Specialist until his retirement.  William most enjoyed riding his bike on the Wildwood Boardwalk with his children and grandchildren. He also loved bowling, bingo, solving cryptograms and playing cards (Pinochle and Progressive Rummy). 

He was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan. He greatly enjoyed watching his favorite TV shows, Blue Bloods, and multiple home improvement shows on the Magnolia Network. He also enjoyed repairing things when they broke or repurposing, never throwing anything away. 

Please join the family on Saturday September 23, 2023 at Delaware Valley Cremation Center 7350 State Road Philadelphia, PA 19136 from 3:00 to 6:00 pm for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating William’s life. A visitation for William will be held from 3:00 to 4:00 pm, with his service beginning at 4:00 pm. There will be time for refreshments and fellowship afterwards, until 6:00 pm. William’s family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrances and support throughout the gathering.
