William George Sibbach III

William George Sibbach III was born on September 1,1950. His father William George Jr. and mother Doris Sallie Rabenold were born in Carbon County, Penna; in Jim Thorpe (Mauch Chunk) and Lehighton respectively. His mother was a home maker and his dad worked for Abbotts Dairy in Philadelphia. A sister Carol Lee Clark, a niece Nicole and one grand niece survive him. A second grand niece preceded him in death.

He led a classic 50's childhood playing wiffle ball, catching the ice cream truck on the street, collecting baseball cards, and participating in Cub Scouts. Vacations were spent at the family cabin in the Pocono Mountains. He graduated from Upper Darby High School in 1967.

Bill loved Big 5 basketball , attending games at local colleges and especially at the Palestra on the U. of Pennsylvania campus. He enjoyed stock car races driving his yellow Camaro many miles to watch the Speedway excitement. A spring training vacation in Clearwater Florida was a highlight. Men's college lacrosse was another favorite. He was able to travel to Boston Mass. and another year to Washington D.C. to see the national championship games. Bill's most extensive travel was to the island of Oahu to meet his 3 month old niece. While there the family toured all the sights with a side trip to the island of Kauai.

An unfortunate accident as a pedestrian caused some difficult physical issues for Bill. After the family home was sold he lived independently in Lansdowne, Pa. and Upper Darby. When he was no longer able to do that he resided at an Extended Care Center in Bryn Mawr Pa. till the time of his passing on May 14,2024. He was 73 years old.

Bill is remembered for his quiet manner and love and concern for his family.
