Zachery Nicholas Crawford

Zachery Nicholas Crawford, age 42, passed away on December 23, 2025, in Philadelphia surrounded by his family. He was born in Virginia and lived a life defined by dedication, service, and deep love for his family and community.

Zachery received his education at Bethune Elementary School, Conwell Middle School, Central High School, and Cheyney University of Pennsylvania. A proud Philadelphian, he was a passionate fan of Philadelphia sports teams, enjoyed Marvel movies, and had a lifelong love for wrestling.

Professionally, Zachery had a host of work experiences. He started out as a warehouse worker engaging in manual labor to support himself through college. Zachery then went on to work for Sodexo as a short line cook and utility worker. Following graduation from college, Zack worked as a manager at IKEA in South Philadelphia. Zachery transitioned to working as an Income Maintenance Case Worker Supervisor with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. His strong work ethic extended beyond the workweek, as he also worked weekends at Aldi to achieve his goal of homeownership—a milestone he proudly reached in July 2024.

Family was central to Zachery’s life. He devoted time and care to checking in on and supporting the elders in his family, including his godfather and grandmother. He was a devoted uncle who made himself present for his nieces’ and nephews’ events and was known for giving thoughtful gifts on holidays and birthdays. Zachery and his siblings formed strong bonds early on, based on lessons engrained in him from his parents. Zachery enjoyed movie going, vacationing, cooking, debating, and watching sports with his family.

Zachery was predeceased by his grandparents, Calvin, Agnes, and Julia. He is survived by his loving mother, Tracy; father, Marvin; brothers, Jay, Nathan, and Daniell; sister, Angeline; nieces, Jordan, Ayan, Ciara, Charlee, and Harper; and nephews, Nathan, Daniell, Gabriel, and JayLyn. As well as aunts, cousins, friends, and co-workers.

Zachery Nicholas Crawford will be remembered for his generosity, responsibility, faith, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched.

Please join Zachery's family on Friday, January 16, 2026 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Delaware Valley Cremation Center, 7350 State Road, Philadelphia, PA 19136, for a gathering of remembrance in honoring and celebrating his life. A service for him will begin at 7:00 pm, followed by time for refreshments and food, until 9:00pm. Zachery's family will be accessible to receive the loving comfort of your condolences, remembrance, and support throughout the evening.
